Introductory Learn to Kayak Club SessionsBecome a PADDLER

We run introductory ‘Learn to Kayak’ courses for beginners throughout the warmer months. In these courses, we will teach you the basics of kayaking, using our racing kayaks.
The courses consist of 3 sessions of 2 hours, and cost £45.

We will cover:

• How to carry a kayak
• Entering and exiting your kayak
• Basic paddling strokes; moving forwards and backwards, as well as moving sideways and turning

However, the precise content of the course will be tailored to the participants on the course.

What happens after the course?
After the course, you are invited to attend two of our club sessions for free. Our club sessions are:

• Saturday at 10.30
• Wednesday 17.30

If you want to keep paddling after this, you can become a member of the club.
