The BBC sees how Whitlingham Boathouses is benefiting members with impairments

How Norwich Canoe Club used ethical debt to build a facility that supports non-disabled and people with impairments.

A Matter of Life and Debt aired on BBC this week, 20th November 2018.? The documentary series looks at credit unions and responsible lenders across the country, telling the stories of people whose lives have been transformed by an ethical loan.? ?Episode 2, Series 2 examines how members of the community, both those with impairments and non-disabled benefited from the boathouse and Norwich Canoe Club.? ? The fund-raising and build of Whitlingham Boathouse??was kick started with a loan from the Charity Bank,??an ethical bank that uses its savers’ money to lend to charities and social enterprises.
